Ethics Policy
Academic Score
Academic Score is committed to upholding the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics across all affiliated journals. We strictly adhere to international guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and expect every author, reviewer, and editor to maintain transparency, honesty, and accountability throughout the research and publishing process.
- Ethical Considerations
- All research data must be original, accurate, and free from fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting.
- Studies involving human participants or animals must include a clear statement of ethical approval from the relevant Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee, with the approval number and date stated in the Methods or Declarations section.
- Informed consent must be obtained from all participants (or their legal guardians) and properly documented.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest — financial, personal, institutional, or intellectual — in a dedicated Declarations section, along with transparent reporting of funding sources and acknowledgements.
- Any violation of these ethical standards will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and may lead to formal notification of the authors' affiliated institutions.
- Plagiarism Policy
- Academic Score maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and duplicate publication.
- Every submitted manuscript undergoes thorough screening using advanced plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin and iThenticate.
- The acceptable similarity index is strictly limited to 15% (excluding references and appropriately cited text).
- Authors must ensure complete originality of their work, with accurate citations, proper paraphrasing, and correct use of quotation marks for direct quotes.
- Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism will be rejected outright. In serious cases, authors may be blacklisted from future submissions, and their institutions may be informed.
- Copyright and Licensing Policy
- Authors are required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement upon acceptance, granting Academic Score exclusive rights to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the work in all formats worldwide.
- Authors retain important non-exclusive rights, including use of the article for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes.
- Authors may share the final published version on personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic platforms such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu, provided full citation and DOI are included.
- Any commercial use of the article requires prior written permission from the Editor-in-Chief.
- All published articles are protected under international copyright laws to ensure their integrity and proper global dissemination.
